In general, soy sauce is made of soybean, wheat and other cereals. It is a typical and important seasoning. The seasoning is an integral part of the daily food of Asian people. The demand of soybean has increased over the last years, not only in the East, but also in the rest of the world where oriental food becomes more and more popular. Soy sauce originated a few centuries after Christ in China, first as a fermentation of shrimps and little fishes, later, of cereals as raw material. There are, however, only few liquid seasonings worldwide manufactured and sold under the name of Soy Sauce.
